First Earldom (185–235)
The Earldom of Eylavol was officially established by the Treaty of Kyalannes, which also established the Kingdom of Norlonn and its seven other constituent earldoms following the collapse of Aiglan rule in the region. Although the treaty was signed on 40/03/185, Ena Ervaronnan, who would become the first earl, had held control of the area since 183, when she was appointed to a reeveship by the Aiglan king Hugmun VI. Following Hugmun’s death in the following year, she declared her independence from the Aiglan kingship.

Second Earldom (259–331)
The first earldom was formally abolished on 18/02/236 amid the conquest of Norlonn by Folgono, King of Baklalonn, when it was incorporated into the larger Earldom of Baklarem.
Folgono died in 247, after which his earls in Norlonn declared themselves sovereign kings and began vying for control over the area. Eylavol was initially part of the Kingdom of Baklarem, but much of it was lost to the neighbouring Kingdom of Adhlarem in 249. By 259, the Kingdom of Adhlarem had split into a confederation of four sovereign earldoms (Eylavol, Fawnavol, Syagfol, and Rogfol), which aligned with four of the eight earldoms of the Kingdom of Norlonn. The remaining four soon followed, and the Norlan Confederacy was established in 261.
Following the conquest of Norlonn by Arkelo I of Mawon in 297–300, the earldoms were preserved and integrated into the Kingdom of Mawon.

Third Earldom (332–335)
In 326, the earldoms of Norlonn broke away from the kingship and came together under the overlordship of Thrandeo of Noynavol. However, Eylavol remained an earldom of the Kingdom of Mawon until it was abolished in 331 and reformed into a shire.
In 332, Ayrmodho seized control of Eylavol and reestablished the earldom. While it was initially under the overlordship of Thrandeo of Noynavol, his death in 333 and that of Ayrmodho in 334 led to the earldom being reincorporated into the Kingdom of Mawon, and formally abolished in 335, when it was split into the Lordship of Bealnew and the Shire of Eylavol.
